Website Privacy Policy

About this notice

This notice explains how Medication-Assisted 12 Steps handles information through this public website. It covers website visits, inquiries, and links to outside services. It does not replace the privacy terms of a clinical provider or another organization. Updated October 4, 2026.

Information and website operation

You can browse this website without creating an account. Our current website does not install advertising pixels or optional audience analytics. Hosting and security providers may process ordinary technical information, such as your IP address, requested page, browser details, and request time, to deliver and protect the site. This is different from advertising tracking.

If you email or otherwise contact us, we receive the contact details and information you choose to provide. We use that information to respond and carry out your request. Please avoid sending medical records, insurance details, Social Security numbers, or detailed health histories through general email or public community spaces.

Meetings and community spaces

Links to online meetings and the community forum open other services. Those services may receive your display name, device information, messages, and information you choose to share. Other participants may see or hear what you share in a meeting. Fellowship anonymity is an important practice, but the website cannot guarantee what other participants do. Use a display name you are comfortable sharing and ask the meeting host about attendance verification and privacy. Do not assume a fellowship meeting creates a confidential medical record.

Contributions and outside links

Contribution links open Givebutter. Payment and donation information is entered with that service and its payment providers, under their notices and terms. The organization may receive donor and transaction information needed to acknowledge and administer contributions. Do not put private health information in a donation note. The public website itself does not collect payment card details.

Links to social networks, videos, resources, or meeting services take you to other providers. Their own privacy practices apply, and they may collect information independently when you visit them.

Access and sharing

People responsible for responding to inquiries and administering the organization may access information for those purposes. Service providers may process information needed to provide hosting, communications, or contribution services. Information may also be disclosed at your direction or as permitted or required by law. We do not sell inquiry or donor contact lists to advertising companies.

Retention and your choices

Information is retained as needed for the inquiry, contribution administration, security, and applicable recordkeeping obligations. Contact medicationassisted12steps@gmail.com to ask about access, correction, deletion, or stopping optional communications. Rights and retention exceptions depend on the information and applicable law. We may need to verify a request without collecting unnecessary sensitive information.

No internet service is completely secure. Avoid sharing sensitive information on a shared device or in a public forum. Children should seek help from a parent, guardian, or appropriate professional before providing personal information.

Changes and contact

We will post changes on this page with an updated date. If future website features introduce optional measurement or collect additional information, the notice and relevant choices must be updated with those features. For questions, email medicationassisted12steps@gmail.com.
